The American Language Institute is looking for English language tutors. Through its ACE Tutoring program, our international students have the opportunity to learn English and its culture and improve their academic preparation to North American universities and colleges. Becoming an ACE tutor is an exciting way to meet people from other cultures, develop teaching skills, and contribute to the IUP community. ACE tutors may be eligible for volunteer or work-study (paid-work).

LinkedIn offers job seekers a vast online community of supporters who will be there to help them get jobs. Donna Serdula takes us back to the basics to remind us of the importance of building a powerful and engaging profile, one that will not only be found in searches, but that accurately reflects accomplishments and capabilities. The Western Pennsylvania Education Job Fair is for seniors, graduate students, and alumni who are seeking positions in the field of education, including teaching, coaching, speech pathology audiology, library science, information systems, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and school counseling. This event is sponsored by the career centers at five PASSHE institutions located in western Pennsylvania (California, Clarion, Edinboro, Indiana, and Slippery Rock.) The fair offers employers an opportunity to speak informally with candidates, distribute recruitment literature, and conduct individual interviews.

Registration is now open at IUP Marketplace.

This is one of the best open source university resources available online.  It covers the personal statement, cover letter, resume, curriculum vitae, and job application, among other things.
