World Vision's 30 Hour Famine

World Vision's 30 Hour Famine is an event where students fast and while fasting they raise money to help starving children and their families around the world. The money isn't simply to give them food but to give them the supplies they need to continue feeding themselves
(livestock, seeds, education, etc) Our 30 Hour Famine begins after lunch on Friday and we will be meeting up in the evening (probably around dinner time we are finalizing exact plans) for a night of fun and activities. Then on Saturday we will be doing various community service activities around Indiana as well as collecting food for local food banks and raising money that will go to World Vision. Last year's famine was a lot of fun and we were able to raise over $600 let's shoot for more this year!

Check out the official website for this event at www.30hourfamine.org/
Participation in this event is worth up to 20 hours of HC community service.
