The 42nd Annual Newman Used Book Sale sponsored by St. Thomas More University Parish & Catholic Student Center will be held this year the third weekend of September.  Below are listed the areas where your students can help -- note we are stressing the need for assistance with set up on September 12, parking throughout the sale, and boxing unsold books on September 19, but Cook Honors College students have also been a tremendous help organizing books throughout the week and as cashiers at the sale.

We can be reached several ways:

  • church phone 724-463-2277
  • email to cdeemer@iup.edu or janetmay@iup.edu
  • phone Janet at 724-349-3621 (evenings).
  • If a student is interested in cashiering, they can contact Melissa Foote at melissa@footefamily.net.

Please feel free to contact either of us if you have any questions or concerns.  We hope you agree this is a worthwhile endeavor and great opportunity for the students to show IUP does care about community involvement.  You have been wonderful over the years, announcing this to the Honors College students. We hope we can count on you again this year.
