The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship program is geared toward committed individuals with professional or academic backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The WW Teaching Fellowship provides a stipend toward completion of a master's degree at one of our partner institutions in Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, and Ohio. Fellows then share their gift by teaching students in high-need urban or rural secondary schools and are provided with mentorship throughout the entire process. 

Dear undergraduate students, please be informed that the Crimson Quill
is now accepting written input from you for its 4th Chapter. This
includes written works which you produced in fall 2012- spring 2013.
All genres are welcome: articles, narratives, poetry (haikus
included), as well as other genres that you might not had a chance to
share with your writing class(es) such as caricatures, mini sagas, or
graffiti (with written comments on it).

As we near the end of the academic year, please remember to complete and submit your service hours by the end of the semester.   Now is the time, prior to the end of semester chaos, to pick up those remaining hours and submit them online.  

If you have completed more than 60 hours, please submit them as well.  IUP competes nationally for recognition of its service and every hour helps.   The Honors College alone contributes approximately 15,000 hours of servce towards this goal every year.

Summer Office Assistant in the Office of Adult and Continuing Education

There is an opening for a summer office assistant in the Office of Adult and Continuing Education. Student must be eligible for federal work study and be at least a sophomore in good academic standing at IUP.  A general office assistant plays a key role in ensuring that the office runs efficiently, and performs various basic office functions. At the Office of Adult and Continuing Education, a part-time office assistant works closely with the Director, and will be involved in various projects as assigned.

Requirements for the Position: Attention to detail is a must, along with strong interpersonal skills. Interested applicants must be capable of performing general office duties (copying, scanning, filing, typing, answering phones, etc.)  Applicants must also possess professional telephone techniques, be punctual, and possess good customer service skills.

AVAILABLE INTERNSHIP POSITION: 

A recently formed community group, Indiana County Center for Community Growth, which is currently holding a film series on the New Economy and the Environment, is looking forward to a very active summer and fall. To help us, we are seeking a student intern to work with us this summer and/or next fall who will build, and maintain an organization website; help in the design and distribution of PR materials; and help maintain our social media presence. Many of the intern's responsibilities include writing and research.  The intern will also play a key role in organizing and publicizing our ongoing film series and our upcoming Sustainability Festival.
