"There's nowhere in town to get a good home cooked meal." I agreed with this statement until I was recently introduced to Chappy's Place along West Pike Road. The restaurant is located about five minutes outside of Indiana and seems to be a very well kept secret. The majority of the restaurants patrons seem to be older but that just may be because I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Chappy's serves everything from spaghetti to salads and have really large portions. I ordered a crispy chicken salad and was warmly greeted by the waiter. My food arrived quickly and most importantly of all, it was delicious. The resturarant was opened in 2003 by the Barris brothers; Don, Mark, Art and John. It features a sports themed bar and plenty of televisions to watch your favorite teams. On Thursdays, the bar offers a 25 cent wing special that draws quite a crowd. The bars wing sauce has grown so popular that they have even started bottling it to sell at local stores. My favorite sauce is their Johnny's Sauce, a sort of hot-bbq sauce but everyone has their favorite. " I love their Mango Habenero wings," said sophmore Communications major Garrett Sisak. " Plus their prices are cheap and the atmosphere is great."

College Lodge is a 18 hole disc golf course started in 2001 and is located at the IUP Recreation Park on College Lodge Road. The course opens on April 2nd and is open to all members of the public. The course offers beautiful scenery and a great playing atmosphere for beginners and experts alike.
I regularly play disc golf at College Lodge and I am always suprised by the great upkeep of the course. Its fairways are always recently mowed and even wooded holes are well maintained. My favorite hole has to be the 18th, which is over 700 feet long and straight down a former sled riding hill. Whether you've been disc golfing before or not, the College Lodge provides a great place to have fun and get some sun!
