Yawn to Release Vinyl Version of "Open Season"

The Chicago based Indie band Yawn will be releasing thier latest album "Open Season" on vinyl. This was made possible with the help of 38 backers, and the website kickstarter.com. Contributors were tantalized with a number of packages; which ranged from a copy of the first 100 records pressed, to shirts, and even a private show at the bands Chicago loft.

I saw this band a few months ago when they opened for The Kooks at Mr. Smalls in Millvale, PA. That night I purchased a copy of the CD, but I spoke with the band members who were running the merchandise table, I expressed my desire for a vinyl copy of the album, told them they would sell like hotcakes at shows, and I guess that I was not the only one clamoring for a piece of wax with these amazing songs pressed into them.
