This year's celebrity ambassador is New York punk icon Iggy Pop, and if last years ambassador Prince of Darkness (and all around good guy) Ozzy Osborne was any indication we can expect some amazing reissues of classic Iggy & The Stooges releases such as "Raw Power" and possibly 45rpm single for "The Passenger"
No real news except the Secret 7" releases for the likes of Dj Shadow, Florence + The Machine, and The cure. Also, David Bowie's re-release of the "Starman" 45 is something that I am personally very anxious to see, as the cover art and details surrounding this release are being kept under wraps until the official announcements of what to expect begin to pour in.
There are also rumors of more Smashing Pumpkins (aka Billy Corgan and Friends) reissues such as "Pisces Iscariot" and the classic double album "Melancholy & The Infinite Sadness" both of which have been confirmedfor release this year, via front man Billy Corgan's in a recent interview with Adam Graham, although the later will probably not be ready for an April 21st unveiling.
All in all, this years RSD is shaping up to be one to remember. So, I would like to pose a question. What is one album you would be interested in seeing reissued for Record Store Day?
