Mushy Movies ♥ Week 1 - March 25
This is a section of my blog that I will dedicate to the greatest romantic movies of all time, according to the American Film Institute.
I plan on highlighting some of my personal favorites and introducing you to some classics that you may have never heard of.
The first on the list is Casablanca. Not only is this movie considered one of the best romantic movies of all time, it is actually number two on AFI's Top 100 list.
The story is set during World War II in Casablanca, Morocco. Hundreds of people are trying to flee Europe since it is occupied by Nazis.
This dilemma brings together two lovers that were separated years ago.
It is not the most romantic reunion but as old emotions are resurfaced and the truth of the past is brought to light, the love of Rick and Ilsa is shown real and true.
Starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, the film was re-released March 21, 2012 for its 70th anniversary.
If you've already seen it or plan to see it, comment and let us know your thoughts and what your favorite part of the movie is!
