Mushy Movies ♥ Week 3 - April 22
Roman Holiday is an Oscar - winning film that stars Gregory Peck and one of my personal favorites, Audrey Hepburn.
A movie poster promoting the release of the film taken from a movie blog.
The movie was released on September 1953 and stands on AFI's "Most Passionate Films of all Time" list at number four.
Hepburn plays a princess that does not want to live up to her royal responsibilities (because being a princess is so hard, right?) and decides to explore the city of Rome by herself. She is found by an American reporter (Peck) who decides to pretend he doesn't know who she is, take her around the city and secretly do a story on the day she spends, her "holiday", until *sigh* they fall in love.
Roman Holiday was nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning three: Best Actress, Best Costume Design and Best Writing.
If you've seen it, feel free to comment and share your favorite part.
