The HawkEar's second radio-news show of the spring season featured reports on:

• Local reaction to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett's proposed 20 percent cut in state funding for State System of Higher Education campuses, including IUP, in the coming fiscal year. The HawkEar's next show is scheduled to air March 1, 2012, 4-5 p.m. Features include a preview of the 35^th annual Appalachian Studies Association national conference, March 23-25, hosted by IUP.
